Husband’s Responsibility towards his Wife

A husband is responsible to his wife for the following (in short):

1. He should provide sustenance to his wife according his ability, i.e. financial condition.
2. He should teach his wife the rulings of Deen and always urge her to accomplish good deeds.
3. Sometimes he should allow his wife to visit her Mahram relatives.
4. He should be patient at her unpleasant behaviors and keep silent against those. If there is necessity of some rebuke in any situation, he should take on the mid-way, i.e. not exceed limits.
