Continue good actions in favorable conditions too; do not be lazy and negligent! InshaAllah it will be easier to remain steadfast in Allah’s path in adverse circumstances.
Our vision is very shortsighted. On most occasions, we conclude that our favorable conditions are all unfavorable! One of the reasons for this is that we want everything instantly and right away according to our will. Allah Almighty gives everything on time, according to His divine decree. All His decisions are good for us; they are full of wisdom that a human can never comprehend. If we surrender to His decisions upon us, it (this notion and comprehension) reform us; it makes our belief (Imaan/faith) firm, infuses absolute peace, eternal success in pursuing good actions.
Caliph (Khalifa) of the Muslims Umar Ibnul Khattab, Allah is pleased with him, used to say: I cannot affirm exactly what (that happens/happened) is in my favor and what is (indeed) unfavorable for me.
The pious scholars repeatedly advise us on one point and indeed it is one of the essences of learning from the Holy Quran and Hadith (This advice has also been delivered on several occasions by Mufti Taqi Usmani quoting his honorable Shaikh Abdul Hai Arefi Rahimahullah): Turn to Allah excessively.
This is an antidote to all our worries and difficulties are herbal medicine!
