Meaning: O man, you have to work hard constantly to reach your Lord, then you have to meet Him. [6] So, as for him whose book (of deeds) will be given to him in his right hand, [7] he will be called to account in an easy manner, [8] and he will go back to his people joyfully. [9] As for the one whose book (of deeds) will be given to him from his back side*, [10] he will pray for death, [11] and will enter the blazing fire.[12] He had been joyful among his people. [13] He thought he would never revert (to Allah). [14] Why not? Indeed his Lord was watchful over him. [15] (Sura Inshiqaq: 6 – 15)
These are very clear Words of Allah Taala stated in the Holy Qur’an.
These Verses depict a distinct picture of the believers and non-believers on the Day of Resurrection.
Achievements are there today in the world. We rejoice when we earn something “big” in our terms; we break down when we lose it. However, these are on trivial matters and all temporary. The whole human-life’s success and loss depends on the what man attains in the afterlife; what he attains from his Lord – the Creator and Sustainer on the Day of Judgement.
Little do we pay heed today when the afterlife is discussed. Therefore, by stating (meaning): O man, you have to work hard constantly to reach your Lord, then you have to meet Him — the warning and announcement has been made very clear. Thereafter, the consequences of good and evil have been mentioned. Now, it is we to choose our earning. And, it is the earning of the eternal afterlife. Negligence toward it would ruin us for eternity; being heedful and caring toward it would save us forever.
O Allah! Without Your Assistance, it is impossible to attain the Book of Deeds in the right-hand! Assist us to hold fast Your Way in this world and make us die as a Muslim. (Aameen)

In Sura Haqqah’s 25th Verse, it is said that the evil-doers Book of Deeds would be given in their left hand. There is no contradiction. The evil doers would receive their Book of Deeds from their back side in their left hand.
