An opportunity to utilize the impact of Ramadan

When the Holy Month of Quran revelation has ended, in the heart of every believer, there remains a great zeal towards reciting the holy scripture and acting upon its commands. This is quite usual. Many people start thinking afresh how to increase the recitation of Holy Quran and good practices. Many people think of memorizing Suras or selected verses, MashaAllah.
This is a time when the sacred effect of Ramadan is fresh in our life because the holy month has ended recently. Those who take advantage of this opportunity try best to keep up the good practices. They pay special attention to the Quran-ul-Kareem. This is definitely a very good sign! It bears proof that the individual is trying to express gratitude after receiving the blessings of Ramadan. Each of us should exert effort to be such fortunate.
Those who were regretful in Ramadan for their incapability of reciting the Quran due to the lack of Tajweed-knowledge (the knowledge of correct pronunciation of the Holy Quran), should not delay anymore. Those who have already learned its recitation and haven’t been regular in recitation should become regular from now on.
Read a few Hadith:
الصِّيام والقرآن يشفعان للعبد يوم القيامة يقول الصيام أي ربِّ منعته الطعام والشَّهوة فشفعني فيه ويقول القرآن منعته النَّوم بالليل فشفعني فيه قال فيشفعان
Meaning: Fasting and the Quran will intercede on behalf of a person on the Day of Qiyamah. Fasting will say, ‘O My Rabb! I prevented him from consuming food and fulfilling his desires so accept my intercession on his behalf. The Quran will say, ‘I prevented him from sleep at night so accept my intercession on his behalf’. Their intercession will be accepted. Musnad Ahmad
The Quran is an accepted intercessor and a disputant whose claim is upheld. He who keeps the Quran in front of him, it will lead him to Jannah and he who kept it behind his back it will drive him into Jahannam. Ibne Hibban
The first part of another Hadith:
اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لأَصْحَابِهِ
Meaning: Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Muslim
For a believer, what could be more unfortunate than leaving this world without learning the correct recitation of the Holy Quran?! Learning recitation correctly is the first step in making a good relationship with the Holy Quran. We know that the Quran-ul-Kareem is the word of Allah. Building up a good relationship with the Quran means building up a good relationship with Allah Almighty. The best of all worship, Salaat will not be valid without correct recitation. Unfortunately, there is no end to our negligence! We make special arrangements and manage time to fulfill various other obligations, but we cannot make some time to learn the correct recitation of the Holy Quran(!) What will be our excuse in the court of Allah?
Therefore, everyone should take steps so that the recitation of the Holy Quran is no longer neglected!
