If you are the guest of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى
Ka’aba is called Baitullah (Allah’s House). Whoever goes for Hajj and/ Umrah at Makkah Mukarramah and the holy places around is the guest of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى.
Think! You are a special guest – invited by an honorable person. As the guest, do you have to worry about your stay and food at your host’s house? Will the honorable person not fulfill your needs during your stay at his premises?
During Hajj and/ Umrah you are the guest, and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى is the host! You can rely fully on Almighty Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى during your stay beside His house.
This ONE and only thought should soothe and relieve us from all worries and apprehension while we undertaking the journey of Hajj! I AM THE GUEST OF ALLAH. ALLAH ALONE IS SUFFICIENT FOR ME.
Yes, as servants of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى, we should possess fear on our position and state. Because for an ordinary and grave sinner like me it is not possible to perform any Ibadat or worship correctly.
However, everyone should try best and Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى sees our sincere effort. Above all, sincere intention is required.
We have to perform any Ibadat for the pleasure of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى. In case of Hajj, the intention is emphasized, because there are chances that shaitan (the devil) and our evil vices (the nafs) try best to make us feel and expose that we are Haji and so on.
If we carry on sincere efforts and do dua (supplications) for divine help, Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى is the most Merciful and Benevolent. He will save us inshaAllah.
We should humbly say, O Allah! Only You can take me there – to the supreme place on earth – Your Majestic Court;
Provide me the sincerity, provide me the ability to refrain from any unwanted things (sins etc.), provide me your guidance and support, provide me ease throughout and accept my Hajj! (Aameen)
Indeed, our words can never articulate and describe even the slightest gift of Allah! It is almost impossible to describe the complete experience of Hajj. It can only be rightly embedded into the hearts of a believer who undergo the spiritual journey in Ka’aba, Haraam, Arafah, Mina, Muzdalifah. We can only make a little effort to describe it in words. Indeed, Hajj is a wonderful combination of Ibadat which integrates and demonstrates innumerable spiritual-elevating ingredients.
Just to provide the respected readers with some important aspects of this blessed Ibadat, we would make some effort to pen down those concisely. We hope this would benefit all of us (InshaAllah). May Allah Taala make it a means of attaining His love! May Allah Taala make it a means to undertake us – all (the writer and readers) to visit Makkah-Madina and perform Hajje-Mabroor and Umrah again and again.
