Criteria of Choosing Friends

Rasulullah ﷺ was asked by his blessed companions, (Meaning) What is the criteria of selecting friend? Who should we select as close friends?
Beloved Rasulullah ﷺ replied (Meaning): (Three conditions have been mentioned) Choose that friend when you see him, you remember Allah. When you speak with him, he will increase your knowledge about Allah. And when you speak to him, he will remind you about the accountability of the afterlife (one day you have to die and give your accounts to Allah Taala).
It is pertinent that we check today how many companions of us possess these qualities whom we intermingle with.
